Nottingham Nursing Home
Every Tuesday morning at 10:00 am, Trinity leads worship service at the Nottingham Nursing Home (formerly Sherwood Manor). Come help share the love of Christ by bringing residents from their rooms, assisting them with worship, and visiting. The service is always lead by one of the Pastors and has regular members in attendance each week. (CURRENTLY ON HOLD DUE TO COVID 19)
Southeast Ministries Association
Trinity Lutheran Church is a partner of Southeast Ministries Association, a group of churches of different denominations who come together to serve the greater Baton Rouge area. The Southeast Ministries office is located at the corner of Sharp Rd and Mollylea at Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Mrs. Mary Sitton and Mr. Steve Miller currently serve on the Board of Directors but other members of the church are welcome to visit the board meetings. Southeast Ministries is always looking for volunteers to work in the food pantry, office, or to collect food items. Although the group is mainly a food pantry, they occasionally give other assistance as determined necessary by an interviewer. If you are interested in serving at Southeast Ministries, call Steve Miller at (225) 235-6225. Collection boxes are available in the Narthex for you to add groceries or diapers to donate to this ministry.
Manna Givers serves food at the St. Vincent dePaul Sweet Dreams Women's and Children's Shelter on the 2nd Friday of each month. We are always in need of people to make food for about 30 women and children and go to the shelter to visit with and serve the group. Usually a main dish, salad or side dish, rolls and dessert are needed. (Drinks are provided by the shelter.) Use our SignUpGenius
to let us know you can serve through this valuable mission, bringing hope to the underprivileged in our community. Questions? Email DCE Kenzie Woltemath: firstname.lastname@example.org.
